The studio offers a unique Belly Dance program designed to help women to learn Egyptian Belly Dance and experience the many health benefits of Belly Dancing. The Chemagne Dance program offers a fun, modern, and healthy approach to traditional Belly Dance instruction that is inspired by the foundations of yoga, pilates, Suhaila Salimpour Format, and Belly Dance technique. Creative expression through dance and movement is achievable because Chemagne’s teaching method involves muscle awareness, solid technique, and fluidity of movement.

These classes are for women of all ages who embrace Belly Dance as a lifestyle and as a sacred feminine artistic dance form. Chemagne Dance helps conscious, motivated, inspiring women to learn the feminine art of Belly Dance through healthy body movement. About Chemagne - Director

Chemagne Martin is a multi-faceted artist. A professional Belly Dance Artist, performer, and instructor. Chemagne’s style combines years of experience as a dancer and yoga practitioner with a love for dance and movement. From a young age Chemagne learned jazz, baton twirling, and Afro-Caribbean dance. Since discovering Belly Dance years ago, Chemagne’s passion for dance began to change. Today she is a sought-after Belly Dance performer and instructor, who has taught at many studios in Toronto and has performed at various venues and special events across North America. With a unique dance background in Belly Dance, Egyptian Middle Eastern Dance, African, Latin, and Indian dance, jazz, and Pilates, Chemagne has taken a fresh and modern approach to the art of Belly Dance. She is certified level II in the Suhaila Salimpour format and pilates level I from East to West Yoga studio. She is the founder of Chemagne Dance, giving her the opportunity to teach, and share her experience with others the art of Middle Eastern Dance.

Prior to falling in love with the art of Bellydance Chemagne worked in the financial sector as a business adminstrator. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from York University, graduate studies in Environmental Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University, and is a graduate of George Brown College in Fashion Design.
